Abstract: Threshold dynamics of epidemic models in periodic environments attract more attention [3,4]. But there are few papers which are concerned with the case where infected compartments satisfy a delay differential equation [3]. For this reason, we investigate the dynamical behavior of SIR model with delay in periodic environment. We first show the new formulation of a delayed SIR epidemic model where we introduce a latent period into susceptible and infectious individuals in incidence rate [1,2], and then introduce the basic reproduction number for a delayed SIR model in periodic environment ...
