Abstract: In this work, we establish a new generalizations of Kannan’s fixed point theorem in complete and compact metric spaces under different assumptions like asymptotic regularity, approximate fixed point property and continuity. Further, we give examples to illustrate the main theorems. Key words: Fixed point, compact metric space, complete metric space, asymptotic regularity, approximate fixed point property.
