Asynchronous exponential growth of solutions of an age structured cell cycle model with checkpoints

Abstract: An age-structured PDE model of the cell division cycle within a population of cells in a common tissue controlled by many complex regulatory networks is analysed. The analysis of the model is based on using the theory developed for the class of translation semigroups that are associated with a core operator ϕ and are solutions of equations of the type m(t)=ϕ(mt).
