Abstract: The purpose of this article is to characterize the stabilization of some coupled systems. We give a sufficient condition for exponential stability using a bilinear control. The specificity of the control used is that it only acts on the first equation. In the case where there is no exponential stability, we give a sufficient condition for weak stability. Finally, an application for coupled wave equations is presented.
