Abstract: Morocco has an important fishing heritage, with its two maritime facades, Mediterranean and Atlantic. Since there has been a decline in national marine and coastal biodiversity, this paper proposes a case study of five small pelagic species: sardine, sardinella, anchovy, mackerel and horse mackerel exploited by seiners in the maritime zones of Morocco.
