Abstract: In this work, we present a new kind of uniform B-splines, called algebraic hyperbolic B-splines generated over the space spanned by $\Gamma_{\alpha}=\{1,\phi,\phi^2,...,\phi^{k-3},\cosh(\alpha\phi),\sinh(\alpha\phi) \},$ in which $k$ is an integer larger than or equal to $3$ and $\alpha$ is a tension parameter. Then, we introduce the notion of algebraic hyperbolic B-splines curves. Moreover, we present a generalized subdivision and reverse subdivision scheme of arbitrary order with a tension parameter for curve design.
