Abstract: In this paper, we study a class of static problems involving a frictional normal compliance contact model for electro-elastic materials with an electrically conductive foundation. The variational formulation of the problem leads to a general system coupling a quasi-variational inequality for the displacement field and a variational equation for the electric field. We establish an existence and uniqueness result of the solution. Then we provide a numerical scheme of approximation, and we prove its convergence.
